NOTICE
of Federal Program Planning for Mart ISD

The Mart Independent School District is currently in the planning process for the
2023-2024 ESSA Consolidated Federal Application for the following  programs:

   Title I, Part A –  Improving Basic Program
Title I, Part C -- Migrant
Title II, Part A – Improving Teacher Quality
Title III, Part A – Language Instruction for Limited English Proficient and
Immigrant Students
Title IV, Part A – Student Support and Academic Achievement

Campus eligibility for Title I is based on low income data and enrollment.
 Private Nonprofit Schools and/or Homeschools with government 
nonprofit status that serve students living within Mart ISD boundaries 
and that are interested in receiving program information on participation 
and/or providing input into program planning for services for eligible

ESSA Planning Amounts
Title I, A $100,000 (estimate)
Purpose:  Provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education and close educational achievement gaps.  
Tentative Plans:  Provide paraprofessionals, interventionists, professional development, and instructional materials.

Title II, A $40,000 (estimate)
Purpose: Improve the quality and effectiveness of teachers, principals and other staff
Tentative Plans: Provide stipends to high need areas, professional development, and instructional coaching.

Title IV, A $13,000 (estimate)
Purpose: Improve the academic achievement of all students by increasing the capacity of LEAs, schools, and communities to close achievement gaps.
Tentative Plans: REAP into Title I, A.  Provide paraprofessionals and interventionists.

Career and Technical Education

Public Notification of Nondiscrimination

Mart ISD offers career and technical education programs in Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources, Business Management & Administration, Education & Training, Health Science, Hospitality & Tourism, Human Services, and Information Technology.  Admission to these programs is based on student graduation plan and availability.

It is the policy of Mart ISD not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex or handicap in its vocational programs, services or activities as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.

USDA Nondiscrimination Statement

Title IX Policy:
