Request for Proposals (RFP) for School Buses

Mart I.S.D. is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the purchase of two school buses. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit competitive offers to meet our transportation needs efficiently and effectively.  Qualified parties should provide written proposals to Mart ISD by 3:00 p.m., June 11, 2024. Request for Proposal (RFP) for Purchasing School Buses

1. Introduction:

Mart ISD, hereafter referred to as the "Client," is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the purchase of school buses. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit competitive offers to meet our transportation needs efficiently and effectively.

2. Scope of Work:

The selected vendor will be responsible for:

  • Providing detailed specifications and features of the proposed school buses.

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.

  • Delivering the buses to designated locations as per the agreed timeline.

  • Providing warranty details and after-sales support services.

3. Requirements:

  • The school buses must meet or exceed all safety standards and regulations set by the state of Texas.

  • Buses should be equipped with appropriate seating capacity and safety features suitable for students of varying ages.

  • The vendor must have a proven track record of supplying quality school buses and providing excellent customer service.

4. Proposal Submission:

Interested vendors are requested to submit their proposals electronically to betsy.burnett@mymartisd.org no later than 6/11/2024 at 3pm.  The proposal should include:

  • Detailed specifications of the proposed school buses.

  • Pricing breakdown, including unit cost, delivery charges, taxes, and any additional fees.

  • Warranty terms and after-sales support services.

  • References from previous clients, especially in the education sector.

5. Evaluation Criteria:

Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Compliance with requirements and specifications.

  • Quality and suitability of the proposed school buses.

  • Pricing competitiveness and value for money.

  • Vendor's experience and reputation in the industry.

  • Warranty and after-sales support offerings.

6. Contract Award:

The Client reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal, in whole or in part, and to waive any informality in the proposals received. The contract will be awarded to the vendor whose proposal is deemed most advantageous to the Client.
