Listen to the Panthers as they take on Cumby in the Bi-District playoff game on 93.9FM, 1330AM, Fox Sports Central Texas!
Tomorrow is election day and your last chance to vote in the Mart ISD bond election. If you live in the school district and are registered to vote, then you can vote in the election. McLennan County voters can vote at any McLennan County polling place which includes the Mart ISD Administration building . Limestone County voters must vote in Limestone County which includes the courthouse in Groesbeck. Falls County voters must vote in Falls County which includes the Otto Community Center.
Once again, these propositions will not raise taxes. The ballot language does include "this is a property tax increase". That only means the district will be taking on new debt. This bond will be paid for using the increased property values from the local wind and solar farms.
Mart ISD strives to provide the best educational experience possible for our students. The Board of Trustees have worked diligently to keep their promise of maintaining the tax rate while building and maintaining facilities where our students can thrive.
Polls open at 7am tomorrow morning and close at 7pm tomorrow evening. If you have any questions regarding the bond propositions or where to cast your ballot, please do not hesitate to contact me at betsy.burnett@mymartisd.org or (254) 876-2523.
Athens ISD has a clear bag policy. If you are traveling to the Bi-District playoff game Thursday please make plans to only bring in clear bags that meet the guidelines below.
