Make sure to join us this Thursday from 4pm-6pm for free Kona Ice, hot dogs, water slides, and a benefits fair.  Shepherds Heart will also be holding a food pantry beginning at 4:30 at the front of the high school.  First come, first served.


Hey Panther Families!  Our theme this year is "It takes a village to raise a Panther" and we want to highlight a huge part of our students' village - their families.  The details on what we need to feature your family are in the image attached.  We look forward to getting to know you!


Mart ISD is exploring options in partnering with an after school program provider in the area.  
The program would run Monday - Friday from after school until 6pm each day that school is in session.
The cost would be around $30 - $50 a week per kid.
Please indicate whether this is a service you would want below.

Registration for the 2023-2024 school year is now open. All parents of existing Mart ISD students should log in to their Family Access portal and complete the registration tile. New students to the district should follow the new student enrollment link found on the school website. Once enrollment is accepted, new students will be able to register. PreK students who have received their letter of acceptance need to register. If you did not receive a letter or have a question about acceptance please contact Mrs. Stone at amy.stone@mymartisd.org.

Mart ISD would like to welcome Coach Kallie Davis to our #PANTHERFamily.  Coach Davis will teach high school social studies this year.
My name is Kallie Davis. I just wrapped up my 7th year of education with Waco ISD in teaching and behavior. I graduated from Tarleton in 2018 and started my career with Waco ISD.  I enjoyed every moment, but it’s time to come home to Mart.  I am very excited to join the Panther Family to teach High School and coach Middle School girls.  Mart is home to me.  My children Levi and Raven attend Mart Elementary and getting to be with them everyday is truly a blessing. I look forward to teaching and coaching your kids this year along with helping them to become successful as students and athletes.

Mart ISD would like to welcome Mrs. Kristy Bahnsen to our #PANTHERFamily.  Mrs. Bahnsen will teach Science at Mart High School.  
My name is Kristy Bahnsen.  I just finished my 8th year in education, 6 years with Waco ISD in elementary and behavior. My husband Aaron & I love to camp, travel, attend live music events, & spend time outdoors with our dog Tank, family, & friends. I’m excited to teach at the high school level &  can’t wait to join the Panther family! 


Mart ISD would like to welcome  Mrs.Tammy Hansen to our #PANTHERFamily.  Mrs. Hansen will teach 4th grade reading at Mart Elementary.  
My name is Tammy Hansen.  I live in the small rural farming community of Levi.  I have enjoyed teaching elementary students for 33 years.    When I'm not teaching my husband and I enjoy white water rafting, zip lining, hiking, and spending time with family.  I'm so excited to be joining the Mart family.


Mart High School Cheerleaders had an amazing time at Cheer Camp and brought back some impressive hardware! Two All American nominees, 4 cheer certificates, a spirit stick and the Top Cheer 2023 award. Way to go, MHS Cheerleaders! 



Mart ISD would like to welcome Mrs. Haley Pankonien to our #PANTHERFamily.  Mrs. Pankonien will serve in the district as special programs director.  
My name is Haley Pankonien, and I am thrilled to be joining the #pantherfamily as the Special Programs Coordinator for the 2023-24 school year. I am a 2008 graduate of Mart High School. I earned my BA in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Baylor University, and continued my education through Texas Woman's University earning an MS in Speech-Language Pathology with an emphasis in Family Studies. Throughout my career as a speech pathologist I have worked with special populations across the lifespan. My husband, Jared Pankonien, and I have been married for 13 years. Our 3 children, Wyatt, Waylon, and Wren, attend Mart ISD. There's no place like home, and I am excited to help serve and advocate for our most exceptional students and their teachers. Once a panther, always a panther!
